We have a long heritage in food and travel, with over 60 years experience in the industry.We are recruiting for a new person to join our Health and Food Safety Team as a Quality Systems Manager. This is a vital food safety role within our business, working with a range of people both internally and externally to ensure that all products are safe for our customers.The SSP Quality Systems Manager will manage, measure and audit SSP's managed suppliers to ensure they comply to all food regulations, including but not limited to, product specifications, allergens and nutritionals, food safety, support recipe management from creation to communication. This includes ingredients and recipes, as well as any pre-packaged products created for launch.The SSP Quality Systems Manager will also work with franchised brands to ensure accurate and timely information of recipes, allergens and nutritional information. This role will include working closely SSP teams, including Brands, Data, Health and Safety, Operations, NPD and Supply Chain teams, in supporting, selecting and advising on suppliers, products and outcomes for UK and Ireland.The role is key to ensuring SSP is food safe at all times and adheres to current legislation and advises the business on future legislation and advances.The RoleWe're looking for someone with a real passion for food safety and an amazing eye for detail. Key to this role will be experience in managing multiple project streams and the desire to make a real difference to our business in how we protect our customers. Main tasks would include: * To validate and verify product specification data on ingredients, especially on new launches, new recipes and recipe changes * Develop, update and manage a Product specification library/data bank at both micro and macro levels to meet Operational brand requirements including full product technical analysis and nutritional declarations * Support, advise and lead allergen requirements on behalf of the business * Audit suppliers, where necessary, especially on bespoke SSP nominated items and especially aligned to new projects and first production runs * Work cross functionally and advise on actions and communication to units, locations and brand * Review and propose amendments to Quality control processes and procedures currently in place and future opportunities and emerging trends * Documenting and detailing all supplier information past, present and future The Details The Quality Systems Manager will be based at our Head Offices, in central London.The BenefitsIn return for your skills and experience, we offer you a rewarding and vibrant working environment, real and achievable career opportunities and excellent training and development to enhance your existing skills.
