Cake Masters Magazine is a leading cake decorating monthly title. This is an excellent opportunity for an Editorial Intern to join our growing team.
Interns that are fluent in French or Spanish is a bonus.
We are looking for bright and dynamic interns to get great experience in all aspects of a leading publication.
Editorial

Researching editorial content for relevant feature.
Researching and writing the book reviews feature.
Sourcing recipe extract
Sourcing book reviews
Keeping the editorial trackers up to date.

Social Media

Schedule posts on Facebook and Instagram and answer all queries.
Answer some customer services queries

Creating weekly newsletters in Mail Chimp.

Coordinating our weekly Friday Freebie competitions on social media.

Administration

Organise the office
Prepare packages ready for postage every week.
Answering the phone and receiving packages.
Other admin

Cake Shows and Cake Masters Awards

Help with the largest cake show in Birmingham and the Cake Masters Magazine Awards.
Organising tickets and seating plans
Answering queries in regards to the CMMA's.
Arrange trade shows and items for our stand.

This is a role that demands strong time-management and prioritisation skills, excellent attention to detail, and an ability to communicate clearly and concisely. Longer hours need to be worked during print deadline times.
The successful candidate will have:

Excellent communication skills
Highly organised, with strong prioritisation and time management skills;
The ability to prioritise and manage a varied workload.
Ability to work efficiently, calmly and to a high standard under pressure;
Strong Microsoft Office skills
A commitment to a career in publishing

This position is based at our office in Ickenham, nearest tube stations are Ickenham underground and West Ruislip Stations.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Internship.
Salary: £15,000.00 /year
