We are a family owned Theatre Pub in Central London looking to recruit an experienced and creative Pub Manager to join our small team. In this management position, you would oversee the running of all aspects of the Pub business; including front-of-house work, staff recruitment, accounting, stock control, rotas, cellar management and additional duties to include Social Media and Marketing. We will consider applicants who have broader venue management experience.
Enthusiasm for the business and a desire to learn is key. Applicants must however possess the following: At least 2 years in a management role (assistant positions considered), Fluent in verbal and written English and good computer literacy, particularly with regards to Excel and accounting spreadsheets. The applicant must have strong interpersonal skills and be confident in dealing with staff and patrons.
In general, your duties will include:
Client service (*Bar, FoH and Food service)
Financial and stock control including staff rotas.
Cellar management
Food management
Recruitment, training and management of staff.
Managing cleaning and maintenance schedules.
Monitoring profitability and performance targets.
Managing venue safety and licenses
Maintaining relations with local community organisations, including Angel BID, the police, licensing authorities and sponsored clubs.
Organising and advertising events such as TV Sports, live music, Club events.
Working closely with the Theatre Director and management.
The job carries a competitive salary by negotiation and live-in accommodation maybe possible.
