A vacancy for a qualified bookkeeper has become available at a successful property development company.
We currently have over 400 hotel rooms in London and constructed 100 flats last year as well as intend to build 150 flats this year. We both own and manage all of our hostels and we own and develop all of our flats. At our head office there are 3 architects, 2 civil engineers, 1 solicitor and other professionals. Our staff are varied internationally and we have a strong work ethic.
A successful candidate should have skills for the following duties and responsibilities:
- Being first point of contact for phone calls;
- Preparing payment authorisation, matching, posting and reconciling invoices;
- Working very close with the buying team;
- Reconciliation of cash book with bank statements;
- Maintain an orderly accounting filling system;
- Regular liaison with internal accountancy affairs;
- Ad Hoc reporting duties as requested by the Manager;
- Processing labour timesheet, monitoring and reporting;
- Monitoring and Reporting construction cost of the company to the Manager on regular basis;
- Keeping track of Cash Flow records;
- Cost control of construction, making sure the budget is not exceeded;
- Professional fees monitoring;
- Trade credit accounts monitoring;
- Bookkeeper Skills;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office;
- Ability to prioritise workload, work to deadlines and to follow instructions;
- Knowledge in construction preferable (2 years experience) ;
- Have an eye for the detail;
- Stress management;
