Our client, an expanding property management company based near Stoke Newington, is looking to recruit a professional, proactive and efficient Property Administrator with experience in the property industry to join their small, successful team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone to build on their industry knowledge by gaining exposure in a varied role.
The role involves providing dedicated support to the Directors and to organise and implement office duties, ensuring all secretarial and administrative tasks are completed effectively. The Directors are looking for an individual who can hit the ground running and rapidly make a positive impact to the business.
Location: London, E5 (nearest train stations Stoke Newington and Clapton)
Salary: £20,000 - £25,000 per annum, depending on experience
Hours: Monday - Friday, 9am - 6pm
Benefits: 28 days paid holiday per annum
Responsibilities of the Property Administrator role:
• Answer the telephone, direct calls and relay messages, provide information to callers as appropriate
• Support to the Directors including preparation and presentation of information, arranging meetings and appointments, organising travel arrangements, etc.
• List property details onto various websites e.g. Zoopla, Rightmove etc.
• Act as the first point of contact for prospective tenants, respond to telephone and email enquiries and schedule appointments to view rental properties as required
• Liaise with colleagues once viewings have been conducted to update records and take appropriate action
• Request and ensure the return of references for new tenants
• Process holding deposits and complete required paperwork
• Draw up tenancy agreements and ensure they are signed and returned
• Use a variety of software packages, such as MS Word, Excel etc,
• Process invoices and end of month rent statements and follow up payments
• General administrative support
Requirements for the Property Administrator position:
• Previous administration, PA or secretarial experience in a property environment
• Strong IT skills - MS Word and Excel
• Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to multi-task and strong time-management skills
• The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Accurate with excellent attention to detail
• Ability to develop professional relationships with a wide range of people inside and outside the company
• Flexible approach to changing circumstances with willingness to take on new tasks and experiences
• Self-motivated and able to use own initiative and work independently
• Possess the knowledge and ability to work within an equal opportunity framework and develop an awareness within the staff team of anti-discrimination practice
