Property Administrator Stamford Hill, North London (N16 5LG)Our client is currently looking for a friendly, proactive and efficient Property Administrator to join their small friendly team based in Stamford Hill, North London (office is a few minutes walk from Stamford Hill train station).The role involves providing support to the Directors and organising and implementing office duties, ensuring all secretarial and administrative tasks are effectively completed. Office administration experience is required and you will need to be able to work independently and have lots of initiative. Previous experience working in the property services industry would be an advantage but is not essential.Job Title: Property Administrator Reports directly to: Directors Hours of work: Monday- Friday, 9.30am- 5.30pmSalary: GBP 20,000- GBP 25,000 per annum, depending on experience Benefits: 28 days paid annual leave Main duties: * Answer the telephone, respond to enquiries, direct calls and relay messages * Reception duties including greeting visitors to the office and assisting with enquiries * Process debit card rent payments and perform banking duties * Check tenant's eligibility for housing benefit, complete paperwork and liaise with the Council as necessary * Provide support to the Directors including preparation and presentation of information, arranging meetings and appointments, organising travel arrangements and diary management * Liaise with utilities companies and contractors and schedule appointments as required * Request and ensure the return of references for new tenants * Ensure property insurance and regulatory requirements e.g. EPCs, health and safety checks and certificates etc. Are met and reviewed * Process rent deposits and file with deposit protection scheme * Draw up tenancy agreements and ensure they are signed and returned * Check invoices and allocate for payment * Use a variety of software packages, including Outlook, MS Word and Excel, to produce correspondence and documents and maintain records, spreadsheets and databases * General administrative support, including photocopying, faxing, scanning, shredding, making of routine phone calls, filing and maintaining files in an orderly fashion Requirements for the role: * Previous administration experience in an office environment e.g. Writing correspondence, dealing with enquiries, keeping electronic/paper records etc. * Previous administration experience in a property organisation would be an advantage * Strong IT skills, fully conversant with all relevant software applications (Outlook, MS Office, Word, Excel, etc.) * Quick Books experience would be desirable but is not essential * Excellent English written and verbal communication skills * Organised with strong time-management skills and ability to multi-task * The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines * Accurate with excellent attention to detail * Ability to develop professional relationships with a wide range of people inside and outside the company * Flexible approach to changing circumstances with willingness to take on new tasks and experiences * Self-motivated and able to use own initiative and work independently * Possess the knowledge and ability to work within an equal opportunity framework and develop an awareness within the staff team of anti-discrimination practiceIf this position sounds of interest to you and you have the experience and skills described above we look forward to hearing from you.If you have not been contacted within 2 weeks we regret that your application has not been successful.
