Peabody has an exciting opportunity for a Project Officer to join our team in Thamesmead. The successful applicant will join us on a full time, permanent basis and will receive a salary of £25000 - £30,000 per annum.
The Project Officer role:
To support the delivery of the Thamesmead Landscape programme to help maintain, enhance and improve the Landscape including community and stakeholder engagement. To help deliver specific public realm and landscape projects in order to facilitate Peabody’s regeneration plans for the area.
Skills/experience required by the Project Officer:
Essential
- Project management experience including budget, programme and risk.
- experience of procuring and managing Contractors and Consultant teams.
- experience of communicating effectively with local residents and stakeholders.
- Strong organisational and planning skills with proven ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
- Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative and possess self-motivation.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written with good standard of numeracy.
- Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships, across internal departments, external stakeholders, contractors and resident groups.
Desirable
- experience of Contract Administration
- experience of Landscaping/ Landscape design.
- experience of Civil engineering
- experience of Environmental Management
- experience of the planning process
Qualifications required of our Project Officer:
- Educated to Degree Level in relevant discipline or equivalent through experience.
