Datacom implement and manage a number of IT projects on behalf of many prestigious clients throughout the United Kingdom. Typically these projects are involved with the provision of data cabling, Wi-Fi and Networking solutions as well as upgrading the IT functions of organisations such as Hospitals, Colleges, and small to medium sized businesses.
We require a Project Administrator to play a proactive role in the day to day running of our project management function, including implementation of good project practice, and the monitoring of all planned and ongoing projects.
You will be working directly with our Project Manager at our offices close to London Bridge and your duties will include:
Being the first point of contact for new customer enquiries.
Taking first line support calls/emails from clients and assigning the appropriate engineer to resolve the problem.
Assisting our Project Manager with the preparation and presentation of quotations.
Liaison with the client to ensure receipt of Purchase Orders.
Assisting in the procurement or hiring of goods and equipment needed for the project.
Ensuring that current and future projects are equipped with enough human resources of the right skills, at the time they are needed, and that those human resources are used as efficiently as possible.
Administration of all project related activities (including Health and Safety) through to completion sign off and client billing.
Ideally you will have at least one year’s experience in a similar role preferably in an IT or similar environment, you must be a confident communicator and be proficient with Microsoft Office especially Excel. Additionally you must be prepared to undertake some business travel if necessary.
Due to the expansion of our team and the growth of our business this role is available to commence immediately either on a temporary basis or temp to perm.
