This position offers a mixture of full and part-time hours from Monday to Friday. The employment contract offers paid holidays for a full-time worker.
During the school holidays (the children attend independent schools so have longer holidays), you will be required to work 60 hours per week. During the term time, 30 hours are required.

The family
Professional English couple with 2 children: 12 year’s girl and 9 year’s boy. No pets. The children are easy going and enjoy school life. The girl enjoys horse riding, reading and is described as laid back and self-sufficient. The boy enjoys playing with Lego and is a Star Wars fan. Both children are in a good routine and able to independently get on with homework. The girl makes her own way home and the boy needs to be collected from local bus stop.
Duties:
Start the day with general housekeeping duties to keep the house organised and tidy. Carry out children’s laundry and ensure clean uniform ready for next day. Prepare a healthy meal for the children only. Collect boy from school and take to afterschool activities. Support homework and if time permits, entertain with play. During holidays, organise fun days out and social dates. Overall, build a good, positive relationship
Days and hours of work
- Monday to Friday from 1.30pm to 7.30pm in term and 7.30pm to 7.30pm during school holidays.
Ideal candidate will hold the following:
- 3 years’ minimum experience working in similar role with checkable references.
- Fluent English if not native.
- Genuine interest in working with children and enjoys company of older children.
- Enjoys a combined mixture of housekeeping and childcare duties.
- Super organised, reliable and of a trustworthy character.
- Upbeat personality, enjoys chatting, positive role model.
- An easy commute (ideally 45 minutes’ maximum).
Salary: £11 - £12 net per hour.
