2) Seeks an experienced, discreet and child-friendly housekeeper. This is a reliable and stable position: family has employed service staff for thirty years, with most staying for 2-10 years. A stable, proven and balanced professional will win this position. Whilst the couple already employ both a part-time Nanny and gardener, it is essential that housekeeper be an all-rounder and be ready to engage with children including occasional baby-sitting and play alongside the parents, who are mostly present and actively involved in child-rearing. Competence in the kitchen (prep work) and cooking skills would be an added plus, as both mother and father are skilled cooks.
The job is in a beautifully-decorated, spacious mansion located in a leafy neighbourhood by the Thames, convenient to tube, buses and Overland rail, as well as several parks. The Housekeeper’s flat is a modern, self-contained studio apartment in an adjacent wing, with its own external entrance, full bath, etc. Please note that for the right candidate, a live-out option could be discussed.
• Start date: Immediate, early October – employers are flexible to accommodate scheduling needs of applicant;
• Compensation: Generous, at or above market, depending on experience and qualifications, paid holiday, sick leave, use of car, binding two-sided contract;
• Hours: weekdays (8:30 AM – 7:30 PM with one hour break), ½ day every other Saturday. Evening babysitting once a week. Couple are flexible on workhours if candidate needs to accommodate course work / other responsibilities;
• Professional Work experience: Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Housekeeper, as is experience with young children. If candidate can do PA work and is able to manage other personnel, additional responsibilities and compensation could be considered;
• Language and Driver’s License: Decent English essential and valid driver’s license highly appreciated. German and Russian speakers encouraged to apply as couple speak both languages fluently, but all applicants must possess basic English.
