Production Supervisor for an Exciting and Fast Growing Jerky Business

We are currently recruiting for a Production Supervisor to work for a growing, much-loved jerky manufacturing company, Billy Franks. This position would suit someone that is working within a food manufacturing facility as a Production Supervisor, Line Leader, Area Manager, Section Manager, Shift Manager or Production / Factory Manager looking for a fresh rewarding challenge within a vibrant working atmosphere, if this sounds like you then please read on.
We are currently recruiting for a full-time Food Production Supervisor to help with daily work in the preparing, processing and packaging of our award winning artisan meat snacks and as we continue to hire, ensuring your team is producing goods in line with the agreed production plan. Duties include;
• Cutting, trimming meats and making sauces
• Placing marinated meat slices onto trays to be put into dehydrator machines
• Weighing and packing the jerky
• In store or on event sampling/demo sessions
• Label packaging (best before dates)
• Help in the quality control process and monitoring CCP's
• Maintaining cleanliness
• Completing records
• Work on recipes and research and development
• Progression to Production Manager possible
We are looking for a hardworking, enthusiastic person who has a passion for food and cooking to join our team in the heart of Bermondsey, along the beer mile and behind Maltby Street Food Market.
You will learn all about curing, preparing and making meat snacks using some of the best ingredients available in Britain.
Our company is rapidly expanding over the next 12 months and will be looking to take on more staff as we hit certain milestones.
Billy Franks is a multi-award winning producer with high end stockists such as Whole Foods Market, Selfridges, Brew Dog, The Peoples Supermarket, Sourced Market and many more.
We have featured in several newspapers, magazines and catered for prestigious events and renowned chefs over the last few years with our much-loved jerky snacks.
REQUIREMENTS
• Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Food/Hygiene level 2 - Desirable
• Excellent attendance and dependability
• Attention to detail
• Ability to comprehend inventory counting
• Great communication skills
• Good math and accounting skills; count and record without transposing numbers
• Ability to communicate professionally with people
• Excellent problem solving skills
• Impeccable hygiene
• Has experience managing a team
experience and Education:
• GCSE (Maths grade C or above)
• Catering/Kitchen experience desired but not essential
• Food/Hygiene level 2 desired but not essential
• HACCP knowledge preferred but not essential

• Quick learner
• Able to work in shifts
• Good communications skills
• Good at solving problems should they arise
• Ability to work alone or part of a team
• Reliable
