Our Client is a large Catering Operation that has been delivering first class meals to a number of major international Airlines.
They are looking for a qualified Production Planner to organise production accordingly and to a high quality. You will produce short to medium term production plans for the manufacturing operation that efficiently balances supply (raw materials/consumables/labour/finished product) and demand (sales orders/ forecast).
Duties Include:
To produce the site production plan that balances supply and demand in the most efficient manner covering all associated department, ensure this is communicated with all appropriate internal customers.
To create a plan and communicate accordingly and liaise with production and logistics daily to understand any potential deviations or likely potential changes to the plan.
To ensure that the appropriate raw materials and consumables are available to meet the production plan and liaise with Production Manager to ensure that the appropriate labour is available to meet the plan.
To liaise with agencies to supply labour when necessary.
To Identify and implement necessary improvement to the planning process.
To co-ordinate with internal departments, group sites and external suppliers.
Responsibilities:
Management of open Works Orders to ensure OTIF delivery to the Customer
experience of Production Planning / Scheduling
Excellent IT skills, especially Excel, knowledge of Sage 200
Extensive Liaison / chasing of internal suppliers.
Building excellent rapport with internal customers.
Coordinating and communicating with internal staff.
Experienced in maintaining information within Sage for MRP functionality.
Resolving queries through quality management systems.
Monthly reporting based on company / department objectives.
Attendance of daily production meetings
Able to take the lead on weekly OTIF meetings.
