We currently have a vacancy for a production worker for a leading folding bike manufacturer based in Greenford.
Job description:
You will be expected to undertake a variety of tasks in Factory A. Your responsibility is to ensure that cells are supplied with cleaned piece parts and finished frame sets are packed then delivered to despatch area.
Main duties include but are not essential to:
• Ensuring that parts are available at the brazing cells and bays are stocked;
• Cleaning components using the degreasing machine
• Restocking Kanbans shelves
• Control of the WIP store
• Identifying and marking batch numbers on production parts
• Transportation of parts to and from production and WIP store
• Operate FIFO (first in first out) of parts
• Ensure rejects are counted, reason identified, tally sheets completed
• Using Vibro machine to de-Burr and polish parts
• Check and finishing of parts before being sent put for painting
• Becoming familiar with a wide range of parts used in the Brazing cells
• Operation of tapping machines
Person specification:
• Keen attention to detail, methodical work practice, organized, reliable and motivated
• experience working in a manufacturing environment
• Punctuality and reliability and very important
• Ability to work as a part of a team
• Understanding of Dignity in the workplace
• Good command of spoken and written English
• Willingness to undertake training to increase or update skills
Initial working days Monday- Thursday 7:00am-16:30pm – 38 hours a week
CV and 2 years references minimum to be considered for this role.
Pay £7.50 for first 12 weeks, after 12 weeks £9.19.
