PRODUCTION COORDINATOR
Salary: £25,000 + per annum - dependent on experience.
Overview
The Production Coordinator (PC) role is crucial for ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the powder coating facility. The PC will coordinate between the operations team and the administration office on all matters relating to production. The ideal candidate will have a background in production, but this need not be in industrial manufacturing or coatings. Ideally, the candidate will have significant experience at supervisor/ coordinator level (or similar).
Requirements
• experience working in a production environment in a supervisory capacity
• Strong communication skills
• Confident team player
• Good computer skills - comfortable using Microsoft Office
Key functions
• Conduct forward planning and daily/ weekly scheduling of production
• Be a trusted point of contact for key customer accounts
• Communicate with customers to ensure requirements/specifications for upcoming jobs have been captured accurately and are communicated to the operations team
• Ensure that details of completed/ ongoing jobs are captured accurately for billing purposes
• Contribute to periodic reviews of pricing
• Support quality control process oversight
• Support compliance with relevant regulations (e.g. HSE) and internal policies
Key outcomes/ objectives
• Efficient operation of powder coating plant
• Timely completion of customer jobs
• Minimal quality defects.
