An industry leader in POS Displays for the high end retail and luxury goods market are currently looking to hire for their in-house design team. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 years experience in POS/POP design.
The role will include producing design ideas and presentations to a high professional standard to enable clear communication of concepts to the client. This will involve but is not limited to free hand sketches, CAD drawings and 3D renders. This is a client facing role so the ideal candidate will also be able to clearly present ideas to clients in a formal and professional manner.
The luxury goods market by nature is a fast paced environment, the candidate will thrive under clear guidance.
Role Responsibilities include:
Working within an extended office team to design and develop concepts from a client brief.
Working closely with the project manager and production team to ensure that all design concepts can be produced on time and to budget.
Developing successful concepts into machine ready drawings for a variety of CAD/CAM processes.
Producing artwork and graphic details for printing. Ensuring that all files are produced in the relevant print ready format.
Excellent time management skills, the ability to work successfully on several projects at one time is a must.
Confidence in dealing with outside suppliers, the candidate must be confident in obtaining costs and managing external suppliers to meet deadlines.
Qualifications and experience:
Preferred but not essential is that the candidate is educated to a degree level in a design related field. Candidates that have extensive POS experience will also be considered for this role if they do not have a degree.
Good Technical Knowledge of the following Programs:
Auto Cad
Keyshot
Adobe Illustrator
Adobe PhotoShop
Adobe InDesign
Solid Works
It is advantageous to have a good working knowledge of the manufacturing process. The ideal candidate would have a technical knowledge of the POS manufacturing process involving but not limited to print production, laser cutting, UV bonding, acrylic fabrication, CNC machine and metal fabrication. These skills are not essential but are an added bonus.
A full UK driving license would be ideal but not essential to this role.
