The team behind BAO is seeking an enthusiastic Head Prep Chef for an exciting new opening this Spring, which will bring a new Asian dining experience to Chinatown, Soho.
XU will be stylish, upscale and refined, with an exciting menu that reflects the quality of locally-sourced ingredients. The 75-cover restaurant will be split over 2 floors and the restaurant interiors will be a reinterpretation of a cinematic set in 1930s Taipei, Shanghai.
We will offer the successful candidate:
- A consistent schedule, working Monday – Friday, 8.30am – 5.00pm;
- Up to £10.00 per hour, dependent on experience;

As Head Prep Chef, you will be responsible for training the junior prep chefs, organising the prep schedule, preparing sauces, pickles, vegetables and batch cooking, following HACCP procedures, checking par levels and placing orders.
If you are a proactive leader, who is passionate about food and hospitality, has excellent attention to detail, and a willingness to learn and develop with us, then we want to hear from you. No experience is required, but good knowledge of or experience in Asian cuisine is a bonus.
