Well established Accountancy practice seeking a part-qualified accountant in their Croydon office.
As a Practice Accountant, you will take ownership of your portfolio of clients with support from junior accountants. Key responsibilities in this role include:
• Completing both year end and management accounts to final accounts stage for both corporate and self-employed businesses
• Completion of both personal and corporate taxation computations and returns
• Preparation and posting of payroll journals and nominal journals
• Preparation of fixed asset register, accruals and prepayment schedules
• Preparation of the monthly management accounts
• Financial statement preparation in accordance with UK GAAP and IFRS
• VAT returns preparations
Further responsibilities in this role away from your accounting duties include:
• Supervising of junior staff
• Maintaining on-going and regular communication with clients
• Identification of technical issues for client portfolio
• Resolving client queries
In order to be considered for this role you will be a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, Cima or equivalent). You will also have experience or currently work within a practice environment. A good working knowledge of MS Office and accounting software is also beneficial.
• Must have a minimum Practice experience of 2 years - this is essential for the role
• Must be studying towards ACCA or part- qualified
• experience of Iris accounting software would be highly advantageous
• strong eye for detail and highly numerate
• Ability to communicate both written and oral with various levels
• Professional in both manner and appearance
