PR/Social Media internship
Rhythms of life is a registered charity that provides sustenance and support for those in need. Established in 2008 the charity has provided food, clothing and support to the homeless and to those in need across London 7 days a week since opening.
We are currently looking for PR/Social Media Volunteer to build and maintain our profile within our local area and further afield
You must enjoy presenting ideas and information verbally and in writing. Previous experience in the field is preferred.
Your duties will include
- Media relations: fielding media enquiries and proactively pursuing new opportunities in the national and regional press.
- Content marketing: maintain and up-date the charity’s website. Manage the organisation’s social media platforms: Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Develop strategies to grow our online presence.
- Working relationships: work with existing and new partners to encourage sponsorship, donations and volunteers.
- Monitoring: monitor the media daily to keep up-to-date with homelessness issues
We are looking for someone who is resourceful, organised and able to show initiative. You must be enthusiastic, team orientated and passionate about improving the lives of homeless people and those who are poverty stricken.
Though your commitment with us will be a few days a week for a minimum of 3 months your work will have a lasting impact on the local community.
