Not Just Cleaning (NJC) is an independently owned Cleaning and Support Services company delivering sustainable, high quality, people centric services to customers in London, the South East and M4 corridor.
We are looking to recruit hardworking and reliable Post Room Supervisor to work in the City of London. You will be required to work Monday to Friday 40 hours per week with an hourly rate of £10.50.
The Post Room Supervisor will be responsible and accountable for ensuring an excellent level of service and staff performance is maintained, in accordance with NJC Quality standards.
Duties include but are not exhausted to:
•Ensure all staff obey site and NJC rules and standards and deliver services to the required standard.
•Responsible for ensuring all postal collections and deliveries are processed within target timescales.
•Responsible for ensuring Postroom staff use X-Ray and other postal recording devices in the correct manner.
•To arrange maintenance, repair or replacement of defective equipment/machinery.
•Maintain responsibility for all Health and Safety planning, including risk assessments, COSHH, PPE and Health and Safety Plans co-ordinated by Health and Safety Manager
•Ensure NJC Health and Safety Management System and policies are implemented, adhered to and developed under instruction of Health and Safety Manager to meet the scope of the service.
•Be a Health and Safety ambassador and take a proactive approach to Health and Safety Management and promote good habits and methods of work.
•To ensure all training and processes regarding the use of X-Ray machine and handling of Dangerous packages/substances are adhered to by Post team.
•To ensure all training provided on Health and Safety, security, screening of packages and manual handling is adhered to by Post team.
experience:
•A quality driven supervisor/manager of people, systems and service whose leadership and experience ensure that services are provided to the highest standard. (Applicants with a keen desire and ability to lead/manage will also be consider in the absence of exact supervisory/line management experience.)
•Ability to interact effectively at all levels with clients, staff, and members of the public and to represent NJC in a competent and professional manner.
•Ability to assess capabilities and motivate staff to produce the quality of work to meet and where possible exceed the clients’ expectations.
•A proactive thinker who is always looking to improve service.
•Good communication skills, written and oral, at all levels.
•Good time management and delegation skills.
•Ability to react effectively to problem situations and emergencies.
•A background in Postal Services management.
•IT literate, Internet Explorer, Word and Excel etc.
