Coffee7 is an independent coffee shop, bar and restaurant located in Forest Gate, East London. We have been running for just over 4 years.
We are going through lots of exciting changes and as such we are now on looking to grow the team in a few areas. We are currently hiring for the following positions:
• Kitchen staff:
Our daytime food offering is simple and modern vegetarian. We are looking for kitchen staff, that want regular hours, for weekdays and for weekends. Our ideal candidates are interested in and excited by food, they will come up with new ideas for the menu and be able to create specials to minimise food waste. They will work cleanly and efficiently, especially when it gets busy and the pressure is on. Previous work experience in a similar environment is a prerequisite. We have two positions available, both full time, 4 days a week (40 hour working week)
• Baristas:
Our coffee offering is currently espresso and batch Brew filter, both using All Press beans and there is potential for V60 to be added to our offering sometime in the future. Anyone applying for the barista position needs to have prior barista experience and be competent in setting up their station (setting up the grinder / adjusting grind size etc) an excellent knowledge of coffee styles, be proactive in keeping their station clean and tidy and perform a full clean down at the end of the shift. We are really looking for people that love coffee and love making high quality coffee for others.
• Front of House / Bartender
During the evening the coffee shop morphs into a bar and restaurant which serves a modern small plate style food offering, natural wines, craft Beers and we’re soon to introduce a small cocktail list to our offering too. We’re looking for Front of House / Bartender team members that are engaging, genuinely enjoy hospitality and enjoy talking to customers about food and wine (and beer and cocktails, too). Also within the remit of FOH we always need customer focused staff during the daytime at weekends too, so between the evening shifts, and the daytime weekend shifts, there is plenty of shifts available
experience in the relevant area is crucial, as is a passion for hospitality and a keen interest in food and beverage. We’re not looking for people who want to tread water, we are looking to push forward the quality of our offering and are looking for people that want to be a part of the next phase of Coffee7.
