Kind, well-organised, well-educated, mature, female live-in carer/companion wanted for pleasantly confused elderly lady in Richmond/Twickenham area. Non-smoker. No pets. Own room in comfortable house. Alternating two-week shifts; other live in care options possible, including occasional relief work. (We also have a vacancy for a visiting carer). For the live in position, we offer starting pay of £1600 for each two week shift, rising to £1700-£1800/ per two-week shift, after satisfactory completion of a probation period. You must be eligible to work in the UK, and have a valid National Insurance Number. You may work as an employee, or on a self-employed freelance basis. If you wish to work freelance, then you must hold Carer's insurance, and you must have verified self-employed status with HMRC.
Because this position requires maturity and experience, only applicants over the age of 45 will be considered. Recent CRB/DBS check desirable. Applicants must have verified experience of moving/handling, using a hoist, and dealing with pleasant confusion/dementia. Fluent English Essential. Nursing experience is advantageous but not essential. Preference will be given to applicants who live reasonably local to the Richmond/Twickenham area.
