Peabody has an exciting opportunity for a Planning and Policy Officer to join our team in London. The successful applicant will join us on a full time, fixed term contract basis and will receive a salary of £36,000 per annum.
Peabody and Family Mosaic have merged, creating a new housing association providing 55,000 homes to 111,000 people across London and the South East. Our combined scale and strong focus on London will uniquely position us to revolutionise housing delivery and redefine best practice – and you will be central to making it happen.
An opportunity has arisen to work for 12 months in Peabody's Planning and Policy team as secondment cover. This is an exciting time to be joining the organisation just as we complete a historic merger and begin delivering on our future aspirations. The Planning and Policy Officer role will involve the development and communication of operational policies, assistance with the business planning process and the development of corporate strategies. We are looking for a candidate with a passion for housing and service delivery who can bring strong analytical and communication skills to our small but dynamic team.
Knowledge/experience/skills required by the Planning and Policy Officer:
- Ability to ensure that all policies and procedures are adhered to so that consistent and standard practice is achieved across the organisation.
- Ability to synthesise complex information.
- Ability to use evidence to inform policy development.
- Understanding of project management and process mapping techniques.
- Understanding of the role of plans, strategies and policies in organisations such as Peabody.
- Excellent inter-personal skills including the ability to liaise with the senior leadership team.
- Ability to think creatively when faced with problems, and adapt to changing circumstances.
- Knowledge of housing and related policy matters.
Qualifications required by the Planning and Policy Officer:
- Educated to degree level or equivalent experience.
