PIZZA1889 IS LOOKING FOR A PIZZA CHEF
There is a vacancy available for a pizza chef at Pizza 1889. The new team member will work across both our sites in London Surrey Quays location and our nearby site in Orpington BR5. The candidate must be prepared to work in both stores.
Pizza1889 celebrates traditional authentic food prepared fresh on site. The artisan quality of the pizzas we produce is central to our brand. Our product is of the highest quality which is why we have been voted one of the top 20 pizzerias in the country by trip advisor
We are looking for energetic motivated and enthusiastic individuals. You must be happy working as part of a friendly team to join our Pizza1889 brand. experience of pizza making, working in a busy environment and cooking fresh high-quality pizza quickly and under pressure is essential. We will train the right candidates for the role, so attitude is very important to us.
Whoever we employee will receive the opportunity of training with our specialist chefs from Naples, to make pizza in the award winning fashion that we are known.
The role will be to primarily provide fresh high quality pizzas cooked on site in a stone baked oven. Our chefs are not hidden away, but on show offering the theatre of their skills to the passing customers. Customer interaction is very important as we operate out of a shipping container unit which is a takeaway and small restaurant. Other duties will include barista training to make coffee, stock control, taking orders over the telephone and accepting deliveries.
The job is full time and a minimum of 37.5 hours per week. Overtime is will also be available when required at standard rate of pay. Holiday allowance is 28 days per year. The applicant should be able to start work immediately. Competitive starting salary starting at £8.50 per hour for a pizza dependant on experience. There are performance incentives and the opportunity to grow with the business.
