Peabody has an exciting opportunity for a Personal Advisor to join our team in London. The successful applicant will join us on a full time, fixed term basis and will receive a salary of £26,500 per annum.
Peabody and Family Mosaic have merged, creating a new housing association providing 55,000 homes to 111,000 people across London and the South East. Our combined scale and strong focus on London will uniquely position us to revolutionise housing delivery and redefine best practice – and you will be central to making it happen.
Our principles are simple: we believe in helping people and communities to grow, in estates that are springboards – not safety nets. With operations in nearly every London borough and one of the sector’s largest community regeneration programs, we’re always keen to meet talented people who support our ambitions.
Peabody is recruiting for a Personal Advisor who has experience of managing a caseload and progressing young people into volunteering and careers. We are looking for energetic self-starters who are passionate about supporting young people into sustained outcomes, are results driven, and thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
Candidates should have a solution-focused approach to their work and be adept at enabling young people to raise their aspirations, and then identify and reach their potential.  The Personal Advisor should also be able to work with cross-sector partners to cultivate and maintain a range of opportunities including volunteering, training and employment.
We have several high-profile roles, working across London with a range of established and respected organisations from the private and public sectors, that will enable the young, untapped talent in our city to think bigger and go further.
Knowledge, experience and Skills required by the ideal Personal Advisor:
- experience in working within the youth work field
- experience of successfully engaging hard to reach and vulnerable young people through a range of mechanisms including outreach, workshops and events, in addition to liaising with external partners and referral agencies.
- experience of successfully meeting targets for supporting young people into EET and helping them sustain and progress
- Knowledge of child protection, health and safety and other youth work related issues
- JNC qualification or equivalent.
Please see role profile for further information.
Please note these are two-year fixed term contracts.
You will work exclusively on the 2Work programme which is a pan London employment initiative part funded by the European Social Fund (ESF) and managed by the Greater London Authority (GLA). The 2Work programme provides access to employment and training opportunities, including apprenticeships. This role is ESF funded.
Successful applicants will be subject to an enhanced disclosure check by the Disclosure and Barring Services (DBS) before any appointment can be confirmed.
Please indicate on your application which area you are interested in: Hackney, Islington, Westminster, Waltham Forest, Southwark or Lewisham.
Closing date and time: 22nd September 2022- 5pm
