Position: Nurse/Carer for active male quadriplegic in Chelsea, London for a full time position. Night Shifts role - 10-15 Shifts per month - by arrangement.
This is a very flexible and varied role; typical duties will include but not limited to;
Night Shift:
Meal Preparation.
Taking care of client’s needs overnight, bed turning, morning bathroom routine, dressing, exercise routine etc.
The client enjoys spending time with his 5 yr old son, so the ideal candidate will enjoy being in the company of a child. This is absolutely imperative, as this role is working within a personal household the ideal candidate will be comfortable with being in this environment and will also have a genuine interest in children.
Personality and persona far outweigh qualifications in this role, however aptitude in the above nursing capabilities are a must.
Confidence driving in Central London are also a must, so a full UK driving license is compulsory as on occasion, you may need to drive the client’s car. This is essential.
Hours:
Each night shift starts at around 6 pm until about 10 am the next morning. Once client goes to bed, you will rest until the next morning except for 1 turn during the night.
You will be 1 of 3 or 4 nurses/carers taking care of clients needs, which allows for flexibility in arranging Rota.
Salary: £11.00 to £12.50 per hour (£175 to £200 per shift) – depending on qualifications
The client is a successful businessman who had a tragic Polo accident 9 years ago, he is a confident, active, witty man with a great sense of humour and a positive outlook on life.
You would need to be comfortable with literally becoming part of the family and you will also be treated as such. The client likes spending as much time as he can with his 5 yr old son - so it is absolutely imperative that you genuinely like being around children.
General: Applicant should be between late 20's - early 40's with good English. They should also have a valid drivers license and be a competent driver.
