Someone with good soldering skills is urgently needed for an upscaling small business based in Perivale, West London. Some basic electronic knowledge would be preferable, but a keenness to learn is more important. Must have good close vision, and an eye for detail while working quickly.
We design and manufacture cutting edge guitar effects pedals - small, floor-mounted electronic accessories for electric guitarists (like fuzzboxes, wah Wahs?). This is a fun, exciting and flourishing field - we export to dealers and distributors all over the world, and deal with touring bands big and small.
What we do is part of the long tradition of british innovation; we don't make clones of classic pedals from the past, but are pushing the envelope, coming up with new ideas - classics of the future - and this originality is what our brand is known for internationally.
It's an exciting time for the company - we're a small team, but we're starting to see significant increases in awareness and appreciation of our products. Your opinions on new products and sounds could be very useful to us, and you could be helping to shape the growth of the company.
To start with, the position would be three days a week, but soon expanding to five. The hours are typically 10am to 5pm, and there would be a two month test period initially. The business is seasonal to some degree, being extra busy from around December through to the following summer.
