We are looking for an fun and hard-working candidate to fill the role of FoH Patisserie Operations in our Central London store.
Panache is a distinctive luxury confectionery and patisserie, with international recognition, broad appeal and nearly 40 years of brand history. Positioning ourselves as one of London's premium confectionery stores and the ultimate specialists for sweet-themed luxury gifts; our business has revolved around creativity and artistic talent: an obsession with quality has become our trademark.
Serving cakes, pastries, handmade chocolates and tea, coffee and freshly prepared hot chocolates, we are a luxury chocolatier and patisserie, also offering seating for 14-25 people over 9 tables. As such, general duties include taking and preparing coffee and cake orders, clearing tables, assisting customers with chocolate purchases and packaging, as well as with the cakes we receive each morning.
We are looking for an exceptional candidate to assist with our morning openings and occasional weekends, in our Central London store, with opportunities for promotions and career development.
As well as the cakes, pastries and sweets of the highest quality, along with artisan coffee available at Panache, what we specialise in is creating unique presentations and gift concepts using the finest French chocolates. For nearly 40 years, our business has revolved around imagination, artistic flair and an obsession with quality and we maintain this with our coffee and cake services.
The role is quite varied, including but not limited to:
• Taking orders from customers for the coffees, teas, cakes and pastries on offer
• Preparing the different coffees we offer on our Gaggia D90 Alti espresso machine
• Taking customer’s coffees and cakes to their tables and clearing up after they leave
• Displaying the cakes that arrive each morning into the cake fridge
• Reporting and maintaining stock levels
• Keeping the coffee counter tidy and clear throughout the day
• Promoting our handmade French chocolate to customers and assist them when needed
• Learning the different varieties of sweets we offer and how they inter-relate and cross-sell
• Decorating gift boxes with our unique designs
• Offer sales assistance to clients in-store and answering incoming calls
• Help to maintain tidiness, cleanliness and hygiene levels within the shop

Successful candidates Must have:
• Excellent customer service skills, a friendly demeanor with a hardworking and outgoing attitude
• Excellent communication skills and service etiquette
• A sharp eye for detail when it comes to the store’s and one’s own presentation
• Willingness and ability to be a fast learner about a range of varied product lines
• Confidence and determination to drive sales
• An ability to be punctual, reliable and to work under pressure
Exceptional candidates would have:
• Barista experience (training provided in either case)
• Proven track record reliably arriving at an early time
• Luxury customer service experience, especially in the service sector
• Some experience in the luxury confectionery or other food sectors
Hours: 5 days per week, including every other Saturday.
7:30am – 3:00pm to 4pm, Monday to Saturday, or 9:30am to 6:30pm Sundays (with 2 days off per week)
With ½-1 hour lunch break
Pay: £14,500 to £17,500 per year depending on experience etc.
Leave: 20 days paid holiday per year
