Pastry Sous Chef - Events 5* London GBP35k + BenefitsAn exciting opportunity has arisen within our clients Pastry Kitchen for a talented Pastry Sous Chef to assist the Head Chef Pastry with the continuing delivery of cakes, desserts and pastries whilst maintaining the high standards that are expected by its guests.The role varies greatly day to day as the Pastry Team caters for small, private events up to major sporting event days.Key duties include managing and developing the casual Pastry Team's creative style, whilst maintaining an exciting and motivating environment. The role with also assist the Head Chef Pastry with the seasonal menu design and costing, and ensuring adherence to legislative hygiene and safety standards.The Pastry Chef's key responsibility will be to achieve the highest quality food to an international 5-star standard whilst achieving targets in gross profit, food hygiene and health and safety. You will also be responsible for motivating and developing a team of talented chefs and apprentices. Attributes/experience:* Relevant experience in 4-5 Star / Rosette kitchens, restaurants and high volume catering companies as well as a multi-site operation* NVQ level 1 and 2 or similar.
