Bird of Smithfield is housed in a five Storey Georgian townhouse, including two chic bars, classically styled dining room, award winning private dining room and a stunning summer roof terrace bar with views over the iconic Smithfield Market.

Bird of Smithfield is run by a passionate team of people who have an enormous love for hospitality and our kitchen team is highly talented and focused, while our Bar team is super creative with mixing cocktails and they are kept busy with the running of the 3 bars in the building.

We are looking for a passionate, talented and creative Head chef with experience. You will be required to work closely with the rest of the management team in order to provide a seamless and efficient service for our guests. As Head chef within the management team, you will support the kitchen operations and produce outstanding food. We will provide training and development.
You will:
• Assist in the running of the department according to set guidelines and supervise the smooth production and service of food from the kitchen.
• Possess excellent culinary and presentation skills - ensuring all dishes are prepared according to specification and served at the correct quality, portion size and temperature.
• Manage the kitchen team – briefing, supervising and motivating team members.
• Have the ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.
• Have a thorough knowledge of food hygiene and health and safety and train teams on this.
