The Castle Climbing Centre is looking for a chef who is passionate about sustainable vegetarian and vegan food and will be excited about working with our Café Manager and our garden team to produce great value, healthy food for hungry climbers! The position is currently a full time position for June - October but with the potential to become a permanent position.
You should:
Be an experienced chef used to working in a commercial kitchen
Be able to cook large batches of savoury dishes, bake cakes and flapjacks and prepare other food to a consistently high standard
Be flexible and creative in your cooking to make the most of our garden produce
Be able to input into the planning of the vegetable and salad crops to maximize their use in the kitchen
Be able to work independently: planning menus, budgeting and ordering
Be able to communicate well with frontline staff, the garden team and management
