An excellent company based in East London are currently seeking an experienced Painter and Decorator. The candidates are required to have advanced tiling, painting and decorating skills and experience and this has to be evident on your CV.
Tiling, painting and decorating are the essential skills for this role and qualifications are desirable.
Working hours: 7.45am - 5pm every day, breaks are 15 Mins in the morning, 30 Mins lunch and 15 Mins in the afternoon
Contract type: 3 months with the possibility of extension to a permanent role for the right candidate
Pay rate: £12.50
Driving licence is essential for this role. Van will be provided.
Purpose of role:
To work collaboratively with colleagues to perform multi-trade and finishing duties in the provision of excellent repairs and maintenance services.
Key result areas:
To ensure the provision of excellent customer services to all stakeholders in order to maximize customer satisfaction through achieving all KPI’s
To give and receive feedback on work performance with manager
To independently undertake multi-trade and finishing duties (tiling, painting, decorating etc.) and to assist other multi-trade operatives to deliver first class repairs and maintenance services
To support the team with collating and updating management data
To comply with all other statutory and regulatory requirements in relation to repairs and maintenance
To follow the organisation Health and Safety policies and procedures to ensure, as far as is practicable, your own safety and that of others in the workplace. You may be required to undertake specific Health and Safety roles such as Fire Warden or First Aider as part of your duties.

Skills/experience required:
Excellent customer service skills
Proven ability to work under pressure/to short deadlines

Minimum two years’ experience as a multi-trade / finisher operative in a repairs and maintenance environment
Willingness to undertake work of a physical nature
Ability to follow written / schematic instructions and measurements.
Ability to produce appropriate feedback to colleagues and managers
Desirable Qualifications:
IPAF Certificate (International Powered Access Federation)
Appropriate trade qualifications desirable.
