PA to Director of Residential Property Project Consultancy and Management Company

About:
Mark is a Project Director working mostly out of the office providing private clients
a “concept to completion” service for their high end residential and often historic properties
in London and as far as the south downs and Malvern hills.
The Personal Assistant will be based in the office in Kensington and reports directly to
Mark Van Oss and is responsible for providing efficient PA / administrative support. It is a
vital role within the company and requires excellent communication, prioritisation and
accuracy. As the sole assistant to the Director, the PA must be comfortable working mostly
on their own, with a maximum of 1-2 people in the office at any time. The hours are flexible
and there is the option of working from home some of the time. From time to time the PA
will visit client properties and meet those involved.
Responsibilities include:
- General office admin, for example answering phones, organising conference calls, managing emails and sorting into project files for dropbox distribution on behalf of the Director, printing large documents, etc.
- Regularly creating professional documents of a high standard in bound hard copy and by dropbox, with captioned photographic illustrations and excel spreadsheets
- Regular use of Outlook and Microsoft Office programs
Personal Specification:
Essential
Skills:
- Excel: Advanced
- All other Microsoft Office programs: Intermediate-advanced
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook
- Typing speed: 65 WPM +
- Good telephone manner
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent spelling skills
- The ability to work well and calmly under pressure
- Ability to prioritize and pre-empt

experience:
- Minimum 2-3 years in a PA role
- References are required: personal and business generally and previous employers
Desirable:
- experience working in a small company / office
- Educated to undergraduate degree level or equivalent
- Interest in residential property work, heritage, arts and crafts, architecture, interior design
Hours:
- 20-30 hours, 3-5 days a week
- Flexible hours, guaranteed not to be before 8am or after 6pm or weekends, unless by choice and pre-planned.
- Possibility of working from home or out of the office some of the time
- Salary: Negotiable
