Personal Assistant (PA/Carer) required for active, sociable and fun loving man with learning difficulties and epilepsy to enable him to access social activities and meet other people of his own age in the community. Activities will include but not be limited to bowling, playing pool, basketball, go-karting and darts.
12 hours a week (Monday, Wednesday and Friday) Working times will vary according to the needs of the Service User so flexibility is a must. Rate of Pay - £9.20p/h plus mileage. Entrance fees to any activities will be paid for you.
The PA/Carer will be required to:
Plan activities in advance
Transport him to and from social activities
Become actively involved in supporting him to take part in activities
Ensure the health and safety of the man at all times
Applicants should be punctual, organised and understanding. We are also looking for an individual who is flexible round hours of work, friendly, positive, trustworthy with good communication and interpersonal skills.
There is extensive travel required to access the activities so you must have a full, clean driving license and your own car.
Training in how to deal with epileptic fits can be provided.
