About the venue:
The Effra Social was previously home to the local Conservative club from the late 1800’s until its closure in November 2012. The venue is now open to the public for the first time in over 100 years. It is a diverse space with a front bar, dance hall, restaurant, garden and lots of nooks and crannies along the way.
It’s now simply a great place for a party, some high-quality food or a dance in the main hall. The Effra Social hosts a great mix of events such as DJs and bands, book clubs, cinema nights, comedy and poetry and one of Brixton’s best Quiz nights!
As a General Manager we expect you to:
Have good knowledge of how to manage and maximize General Practitioner and control P and LS.
Ensure your bar achieves financial targets.
Encourage, train and develop all areas of staff.
Maintain a high level of cleanliness.
Understand and maintain all Health and Safety and licensing aspects of the business.
Above all have a strong work ethic, passion, creativity, and a love for what you do. Delivering a memorable experience to our customers is our number one priority.

You must have:
At least 12 months experience in a General Managers role.
Passion, creativity and flair.
Hold a personal licence.
Have the right to work in the UK.
