Part-time Role includes:
Booking appointments, answering telephone enquiries, filing, marketing, cleaning, merchandising, cashing up, and opening and closing.
Making good frame and lens selections, Understanding and explaining all contact lens options to patients, restocking trial contact lens banks, ordering in products and meticulously checking all deliveries.
Understanding and completing NHS paperwork
This position is ideally suited to an individual who has some optical experience, but we would be happy to give appropriate training if needed, to the right candidate.
We are looking for a reliable, conscientious and well-presented individual who enjoys working with the public and takes pride in all areas of their work.
Discretion is of up most importance as the role involves both the taking and handling of personal and confidential data.
They would need to be a willing, quick and good learner of new skills, who can work efficiently and use their initiative at all times.
As this role involves working with valued patients, a friendly, approachable attitude is vital.
This is quite a diverse role requiring a variety of skills, but is an ideal opportunity for an individual seeking a long-term position in a comfortable and clean environment within a small and happy team. There is scope for increased learning and development.
The hours would be part time that include Saturdays that are essential.
