Talk for Health is a small, fast-paced and innovative mental health social enterprise. We teach ordinary people the skills of therapeutic talk, and empower them to take part in ongoing groups.  We work in Camden and Islington funded by the NHS and two other funders. We are tiny but growing.
The Founder now needs a bright, super-organised, ‘Make it Happen’ person to become our Operations Manager, an organisational lynchpin who can manage multiple workstreams at fast pace and  streamline our systems. You will have high standards, stamina and a ‘can-do’ approach.
This is a start-up, entrepreneurial setting and the core team will be you, our therapist Founder and a second Director at our home-based office in NW3.  We also have a team of 20 + off-site Associates and volunteers who fulfil various functions.
You are likely to have substantial experience of managing training programs or events, including:  promotion; participant management; data management; evaluations; managing volunteers.  You will be able to:

Lead yourself and others in complex situations.
Create and operate effective and efficient systems, solving problems as you go.
Stay calm under fire and not take ‘no’ for an answer.
Be warm yet firm and persistent with many people.

The job is full-time and you will need to:

Have your own computer – preferably Mac
Spend 3 mornings per week in NW3 at our home-based office. The rest of the time you will work from home and/or in Islington, our main area of operation.
Be available evenings and weekends
Have at least 2-5 years Operations Management experience OR the equivalent e.g. You were President of the Students’ Union whilst gaining a first-class Honours Degree, or ran your own business while Brining up 3 kids!
Be expert with Microsoft Office, Wordpress, Mailchimp and Eventbrite.

This full-time position will begin with a 6-week trial period on 1st February 2022 and continue in the first instance for 6 months until end July 2022. Subject to our funding, this is likely to continue.   Remuneration is £2,000 per calendar month.
