We're looking for a highly organised and responsible Operations Executive to work closely with the CEO/Founder and Finance Director, playing a key role in the day to day operations of our highly-publicised Startup. If you're meticulously organised, possess the unique ability to bring order to chaos and always have 'a plan' - you're the one!
Having released our UK consumer app from beta in February, we've already hit 100,000 users and have recently announced our first official telecom partnership with Telefónica Deutschland in the form of an official co-branded app called o2 Get which is now available to their 44m customers in Germany, read some of the coverage on Techcrunch.

Responsibilities:
- Support the Founder/CEO directly, taking the initiative to action tasks or coordinate meetings on their behalf wherever possible; prioritising items that require urgent action.
- Organise business travel arrangements for the Founder/CEO and team, with a realistic detailed agenda and appropriate papers.
- Liaison with building management and vendors for all facilities issues.
- Help define a great on-boarding process and take the lead on coordinating team activities and lunches.
- Manage the accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including posting purchase invoices, raising sales invoices, processing employee expenses and credit control.
- Managing your own personal development by actively taking on new responsibilities and roles, and providing short-term cover for others in the team.
- Assist the Finance Director on month end and year end processes, in preparation for monthly and annual reporting, as well as any external reporting.
- Deal with accounting/finance queries from clients, suppliers and other external parties (e.g. HMRC).
Requirements:
- A genuine desire to get hands-on in a start-up environment.
- Ability to handle administrative details independently, while exercising good judgment in keeping stakeholders adequately informed.
- Energetic and a passion to learn and develop your accounting and finance skills.
- Consistently maintain a professional and personable attitude due to the confidential nature of the work.
- Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations.
- Strong numerical skills, attention to detail and methodical approach.
- Advanced MS Office / Google Apps knowledge (Google Docs/Sheets/Mail, MS Word/Excel/Powerpoint).
- Very strong organisational skills and take personal pride in outputting high quality work.
- Be a natural relationship builder that is self motivated and often takes the initiative.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Reliable, conscientious and dedicated.
- Staying calm under pressure.
