On Site OperatorAn international logistics company is looking for an On Site Operator to join their team in North London on a temporary basis with the possible opportunity for permanency for the right person.The ideal candidate will be physically fit, resilient in nature and have a strong, personable nature.The main focus of the On Site operator position is postroom and customer service Role and Responsibilities.
Process and record all shipments on the designated IT platform/system so that the customer's requirements are met and shipments are not subject to undue delay Monitor the previous days shipments in order to provide delivery information and communicate to relevant Stakeholders in a timely manner should issues require escalation Provide a pro-active Tracking and Tracing service, including manual Tracing, in order to promptly identify potential delays or service errors, recommending and implementing the appropriate actions to resolve problems to the customer's satisfaction Liaise directly and in a timely manner with relevant Stakeholder to advise them of issues or delays along with planned corrective action, so as to maintain a two-way communication flow and minimise customer dissatisfaction Facilitate general enquires, such as special packaging requests, in conjunction with the appropriate internal function and where legitimate obstacles are identified, research and recommend alternative service solutions Provide daily updates on service performance to the client organisation, so as to ensure all relevant parties possess the necessary information to perform their functions Train and educate client organisation, or designated contractor staff in company processes and IT platform/system, only in instances where internal users are under-resourced, provide additional assistance with the processing of shipmentsCo-ordinate the client invoicing process, check and undertake reconciliation of company invoices From time to time, candidates may be required to work additional hours in order to fulfil the duties/obligations outlined above. Any additional hours worked is to be in accordance with the company's contract of employment with On-Site operator i.e. Adequate notice, pre-agreed O/T or Lieu time etc.
Skills and Requirements
Excellent customer service skills Diplomatic, politely assertive and pro-active Able to negotiate and stick to agreed deadlines with the customer Articulate and able to communicate at all levels both internally and externally Ability to deal with high pressure deadlines Must be physically fit experience in training other staff in processes or practices (preferable)
Pay Rate: £11.46 per hour Located: North London Contract: Temporary with possible opportunity of permanency Start: as soon as possible.
