We are seeking an enthusiastic office caretaker to join our growing commercial real estate development and management company.
As an office caretaker, you will be required to maintain the upkeep, repair, and general tidiness of our serviced office spaces in the east London area. You will ensure that the quality of our sites is constantly maintained to the highest standard.
• Conducting a daily tour of the offices in lunch time to make sure the communal spaces are tidy (basic cleaning, operating the dishwasher, arranging the communal area, basic maintenance).
• Conducting routine planned maintenance (using initiative to suggest ways to make improvements)
• Monitor, conduct, and log the general maintenance of sites and equipment
• Monitor, log, and maintain stock levels
• Conducting maintenance (systems, grounds, and general housekeeping)
• Creating a systematic approach to regular, seasonal, and annual tasks
• Working to set timeframes whilst also managing your own time efficiency
This is a hands-on, varied role which requires an organised and professional person who is able to successfully work within a busy team. Day-to-day tasks will include care taking/basic cleaning and also varied tasks to ensure the upkeep of our office spaces. Elements covered: basic plumbing, decorating, touch ups, site patrols, meter readings, refuse duties, and fire alarm monitoring amongst other tasks.
Your background
• experience working within a similar Caretaker or Facilities position would be highly desirable, with a natural ability to be the face of our company when dealing with clients.
• Physically fit, comfortable with working at height (ladders) and outdoors.
• Well-organized and capable of prioritizing your own workload. Flexibility to occasionally work outside core hours, on weekends, or holidays when the need arises.
