Office Assistant Needed in London

This role will comprise a mixture of bookkeeping, production management, purchasing assistance and general office administration. Previous experience is not necessary, strong attention to detail and a positive attitude is.
The role will include:
Bookkeeping
- Entering and appropriately classifying invoices on the accounting system
- Checking invoices against purchase orders and goods received notes
- Raising queries with suppliers and ensuring that credit notes etc are obtained when required
- Checking supplier statements
- Producing spreadsheets and reports
Production management
- Checking best before dates, weights and batch codes of bulk stock
- Preparing labels
- Quality checking repacked items
Purchasing Support
- Monitoring cost changes and amending prices
- Maintaining accurate supplier information and ensuring that current catalogues, price lists and technical product specifications are filed appropriately
- Contacting the supplier to report shortages/defective deliveries and to understand price and availability changes
- Monitoring product stock levels and rate of sale
- Placing purchase orders to balance desired stockholding levels with minimum order quantities
- Requesting production of repackaged goods and ordering bulk stock
- Supplying the merchandising team with information about new products
