Your role as office administrator is to help ensure the smooth running of the office.
There is not much your job will not cover and no two days will ever be the same.
You will look after the archives, filing of documents, supplies control (stationery, refreshments and supplies for the office), health and safety, general office tidiness and the maintenance of office equipment (photocopiers, faxes, alarms etc).
You will also be expected to deal with:
Photocopying and binding
Updating of contact lists
Book couriers if required
You will work closely with many team members, but especially with the directors of the company, and also reception who you might have to provide sickness or lunch break cover for.
It is an exceptional career to get into if you are looking for work/life balance as your hours will usually be 9AM to 5:30PM Monday to Friday.
It is an office-based job, however do not expect to spend a lot of time at your desk as there is lot to be seen to around the office.
You'll need to be:
Super organised
Friendly and helpful
Flexible and able to prioritise a changing to do list.
Detail oriented and accurate
Trustworthy and reliable
Self-motivated
Articulate and a good communicator
Good with English (verbally and written)
Able to work in a team
Competent using a computer (helpful, however not necessary)
