Salary: £18,000 to £21,000 per annum
A well established nursery in the vibrant area of Richmond is looking for a level 3 nursery practitioner to join their team. Their team consists of fun, caring and enthusiastic educators, who are early years and first aid trained.
We are looking for:
• A level 3 qualified candidate in childcare or above.(Early years degree, QTS, PGCE, NNEB)
• Has experience working with 6months to 5 years
• Have strong EYFS knowledge and be able to implement in all activities
• Have strong verbal and writing communication skills
• Understands the importance of safeguarding and knows how to complete observations and write children journals.
Duties
• To take responsibility of being a Keyworker for a specific group of children.
• To be responsible for the planning, development and delivery of themes within the Early Years Foundation Stage, ensuring all learning interests and individual needs of the children are met, extending them where necessary.
• To be responsible for organising the environment inside and outside to ensure resources and equipment are available and appropriate to meet the needs of the individual children within the group, whilst making sure the resources and equipment are set out in a purposeful, stimulating and safe way, rich in learning opportunities.
• To clear away activities, Toys and equipment once finished with, encouraging children to help, making sure all is put away correctly.
• To be a positive role model to other staff and children in respecting the Nursery’s environment and resources.
• To meet the physical needs of the children, encouraging good standards of personal hygiene, whilst helping children develop independence and self-help skills in toileting, dressing and feeding.
• To monitor and evaluate children’s learning through a range of assessment, observation and monitoring strategies, ensuring progress records are maintained.
• To ensure good standards of safety, hygiene and cleanliness are maintained at all times.
• To assist with meal and snack times and to ensure children's dietary requirements are catered for.
Job description
This is a permanent full time role consisting of 42 hours a week working Monday to Friday. We are offering from £18,000 to £21,000 a year depending on the candidate and qualification level.
