We are looking for a very special and experienced School Cook to join our busy nursery school. We cater for children aged between 18 months to 5 years old. All our food is healthy and nutritious and presentation should be fun and imaginative. We use high quality organic ingredients and have a sugar free policy.
Duties will include;
Following the seasonal menus
Making breakfast, snacks, lunch, desserts and supper.
Preparing for different diets and food allergies
Making birthday cakes
Cooking with the children
Preparing food for occasional parent’s evenings
Good command of the English language
Hold a food hygiene certificate
Be able to manage the kitchen to the highest standard
Ordering food weekly and planning ahead to ensure the smooth running of the kitchen.
Washing kitchen appliances, work surfaces, floors and walls
You must be able to demonstrate a real passion for food and possess lots of enthusiasm whilst continuing the high standards this role will require.
The job is from Monday to Friday and the hours are 7.45am to 4.45pm (there may be occasions where you will be required to stay later). Competitive salary plus benefits. A DBS Clearance Certificate will also be required.
