Level 3 Nursery Nurse or Early Years Practitioner for a small nursery in Kingston upon Thames (part/full time opportunity)
We are looking for a Nursery Nurse or Early Years Practitioner qualified to at least Level 3 (or soon to complete this) in Early Years to join our small and friendly nursery group.
Job Title: Nursery Nurse/Early Years Practitioner.
Responsible to: Manager, Deputy Manager and Room Leader.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
1. To support the team in providing a high quality childcare provision.
2. To supervise and manage specific areas of activity and follow planning as required.
3. To initiate, implement, set targets and review Individual Education and Learning Plans through regular liaison with the team.
4. To take responsibility for observing, planning, tracking and evaluating the learning and development of your key children and setting individual targets.
Person Specification and Qualifications
- A recognised qualification in childcare (equivalent to level 3 or above and if Level 3 qualification obtained after September 2014 you must have GCSE passes in Maths and English)
- Up to date knowledge of the EYFS
- Satisfactory Enhanced DBS disclosure.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Good IT skills
- Willingness to attend further development courses and meetings.
Remuneration
- £8.50 To £9.50 per hour (depending on experience)
- 21 Paid holidays plus bank holidays
- This is a full time position working between 35 and 40 hours per week.
