Daisy Chain Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Brand-New nursery who are looking for a Cleaner to join their new team!
As a nursery cleaner you will be expected to work alongside the Manager and Deputy Manager to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness are maintained in the nursery.
We do expect candidates to have at least relevant experience within a similar role.
Hours expected to work: 6pm-8pm
Days: Monday to Friday
Salary: 7.50 p/h
Main Responsibilities
• Working in compliance with COSHH regulations, health and safety legislation and within the company policies and procedures
• Ensuring chemicals, cleaning agents and cleaning utensils which may be a danger to children, staff or visitors are locked away following use
Main Duties
• Ensuring all floors are swept and mopped thoroughly with germicidal disinfectant
• Vacuuming carpets
• Emptying bins, replacing bin liners and removing refuse to appropriate storage area
• Dusting furniture, picture frames, ledges, skirting, sills and radiators
• Washing WC pans and washbasins using disinfectant
• Damp dusting and polishing taps and mirrors
• Damp dusting pipes, cisterns, disposal units and towel cabinets
• Replenishing toilet paper holders, soap dispensers, and towel cabinets
• Ensuring regular risk assessments are undertaken and necessary actions completed
• Remaining aware and observant of all health and safety issues in the nursery and where possible reducing the risk of any accident through preventative actions
• Maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness/tidiness within the nursery
• Wearing the appropriate health and safety protective clothing when handling any chemical product
