A warm vibrant Nursery in the Bromley area are recruiting for a confident Nursery Chef to start as soon as possible. Home to roughly 60 children on a daily basis, they are passionate about delivering not only the best in childcare but also a healthy lifestyle for all children in their care.
Nursery Chefs will be passionate about their work being given high quality ingredients to create from scratch delicious, nutritious foods on a daily basis.
Shift: Monday to Friday 8am – 5pm (Flexible)
Salary: up to £20,000 gross per year (depending on experience and qualifications)
Annual Leave: 20 days per year
Your key responsibilities will include:
• Cooking and service of delicious and nutritious meals made from scratch for children in their care
• Catering to all our children; dietary requirements, babies’ bottles and weaning menus
• Maintenance of excellent hygiene standards including daily washing and cleaning of dishes and equipment
• Developing monthly menu and management of budgets and ordering of food
The candidate should:
• Have a passion for cooking delicious, nutritious meals from scratch
• Hold proven experience in a Nursery/ School setting with experience cooking for children aged 3 months – 5 years or vulnerable adults
• Be highly organised and able to work autonomously to manage all aspects of the kitchen
• Be flexible to changing circumstances or needs in the Nursery
• Show a commitment to the protection and safeguarding of children as well as high standards in confidentiality.
• Have excellent communication skills with fluency in written and spoken English.
