Little Elms Day Care – Greenwich Peninsula – Nursery Chef - £20,000
Little Elms Day Care are looking for an experienced chef to start in a brand-new Nursery based in the Greenwich Peninsula complex.
You will be responsible for providing freshly prepared, nutritionally balanced meals for the children on a day to day basis. You will be providing for around 50 children and will need to meet the correct dietary requirements for all of the children.
As a Chef, you will be responsible for all safe and hygienic management of the kitchen and the correct nutritional needs of the children. We are looking for someone who has a great personality and can demonstrate leadership as you will be leading a small kitchen team.
You will be expected to hold at least a Level 2 Food and Hygiene certificate and at least 2 years’ experience working as a Chef/Head Chef before.
Hours of Work: 7.30am – 4.30pm
Salary: £20,000 p/a
Main Responsibilities
• Provide healthy balanced, nutritious freshly prepared meals and snacks in line with food safety regulations and Busy Bees best practice guidelines.
• Organise, lead and motivate the catering team
• Be involved in the adhering to budgets and financial targets and forecasts according to actual attendance
• Maintain stock levels and ordering new supplies
• Maintain high hygiene standards in the kitchen, including regular high and low-level cleaning of surfaces and equipment
