Non Resident Sheltered Housing Officer Location: North London Salary: £16.00 per hourTemporaryFull time Consultancy are looking for enthusiastic and motivated Non Resident Sheltered Housing Official for our client in North London. This is a temporary contract position for 3 months. Working with our client in North London you will be experience managing the day-to-day running of a sheltered scheme, balancing individual choices and age related disability within the philosophy of sheltered housing. Main Duties: * To promote the sheltered housing service to potential tenants by providing a first contact information and advice service. * Set up Supporting People files for new tenants and maintain ongoing accurate records to carry out an annual review of each tenant's support needs and to record and act on that assessment. * Liaise and build a network of contacts to assist the post holder to help maintain independent living, good health and sustained wellbeing for the tenants in the scheme. * Carry out routine testing of all urgent call equipment and smoke detectors in each flat and communal areas. Ensure access is restricted to authorised visitors and contractors. * To respond to letters and e-mails. * To investigate and respond to councillors and MPs enquiries. * To investigate and respond to first stage complaints. What we require of you: * 2 years housing support experience * experience of support elderly clients * Enhanced DBS Check * Be able to work under your own initiative * Ensure that the duties of the post are undertaken with due regard to the organisation's Health and Safety and Safety Policy and to their personal responsibilities under the provisions of the Health and Safety at work Act 1974 and all other relevant subordinate legislation.If you are looking for a great opportunity as a Sheltered Housing Officer, then please apply now.
