About the role
We are currently recruiting for a Night Receptionist to join the Front Office Team, offering a highly specialised personalised service to our residents and guests.
As a Night Receptionist you will provide the wow factor service and whilst some duties are similar to that of a traditional receptionist there will also be lots more variety! The successful candidate will provide a warm welcome to residents upon arrival, ensuring that the guest experience is beyond their expectations from the moment they reach the reception desk in the atrium. They will check the residents in and provide a personalised service during their stay.
This interesting role may also include more unusual requests and errands-so flexibility and the ability to multi task is a must!
Main duties include:
Greet all guests at any time in a friendly and helpful manner and attempt to learn and use guest's name at every opportunity. Register arriving guests ensuring that full details are obtained on the registration form in accordance with established procedures.
On check in, ensures, that the guest is assigned a room of the type and at the rate requested.
Escort guests to their rooms on checking in, explain and endeavour to sell the hotel's food and beverage facilities. Explain all the facilities in the room, e.g. Heating, television, hairdryer etc. Inform Luggage porters of guest's room number.
Enter all arrivals' check in details accurately in the computer and modifies any information correctly with particular care towards spelling and room rates.
Ensure that the hotel's credit policy is adhered to at all times.
Take advance reservations at such times as when the Reservations office is unable to do so.
To ensure accuracy and efficiency in posting all transactions and in the handling of all funds including cash, payment for city ledger, etc.
To balance the day’s postings, receipts, cash and credit card payments to the computer print outs at the end of the shift and operate the computer with its automatic Night audit system to produce balanced daily results.
To adhere to the emergency procedure in event of computer failure.
To handle the assignment of safe deposit boxes to in-house Residents in accordance with the residence procedure.
To greet all residents in a friendly and helpful manner and check out residents accurately and efficiently.
To process foreign exchange and traveller cheque transactions for in-house residents.
To be conversant and comply with the Residence credit policies
About you
To be considered for this role you will have experience of working as a Night Receptionist or a Receptionist within a 4 or 5 Star hotel and have knowledge of the Opera System.
You will possess excellent Customer service experience, being able to anticipate guests needs and exceed their expectations.
Personality is the key to our roles, as is a genuine passion for world class personalised service. We want people who are confident, have excellent command of the English language - written, reading and spoken; are able to multi task, undertake duties outside of the normal job description, are easy to be around and can really contribute to shaping this new era of Jumeirah living.
