We are looking for at least 1 full-time carer, but would consider 1 or 2 part-time carers. Whether you are seeking full-time or part-time work you must be willing to be flexible.
The lady suffers from early stage dementia and an experienced carer would be preferred, although, we are open to applicants who may be looking for a career change and feel they meet the criteria to be a carer.
You should be happy to provide references. You will be required to undertake all personal care such as toileting, bathing, medication prompting, dressing, getting in and out of bed, preparation of tea and snacks, assistance with mobility, light domestic and household duties etc.
This is a stimulating, exciting and fun position for the right individuals, but flexibility is key, so is enthusiasm, reliability, caring, compassion and commitment.
We ask that you are a caring, committed, hard-working, patient, flexible person, adaptable to the working hours, who will use your initiative to make the elderly lady happy.
The lady is a vegetarian and a non-smoker, so you are required to respect her wishes.
Desirable:
• NVQ Care Level 2 or 3
• Own transport is desirable, but not essential
• Pass a full DBS check (or have a valid check already) and references.
